This year the Kelly Memorial was contested by only 13 teams, as there were a couple of last minute withdrawals, but a good day was had by all. The weather was kind to us, being warm and dry. The massed ranks of EMGC helpers put on a series of tests designed to test the marking and handling ability of the dogs, accross open ground, standing crops, and through brambly woodland, and whatever else we could throw at them.
The standard of dogs was high, and although the team event was fairly clear cut, a run off was needed to find the top individual dog.
